Floor plan

We want your stay to be as comfortable and relaxing as possible so we include lots of features, amenities and 'extras'.

42” TV / DVD player (HDMI cable supplied), Roku streaming device for watching live, on-demand and catch-up TV (and you can log in to your Neflix, Amazon prime video, NowTV and Sky accounts), hi-fi with iPod dock, books, quality film collection & board games.

Family Friendly

Mothercare travel cot, two high chairs, potty set (step, trainer seat and potty), changing mat (and dedicated nappy changing area off the bathroom), baby bath, blackout blinds, socket covers, and children's cups, plates, bowls and utensils.

Well-equipped kitchen

We include plenty of mugs (big ones too!), coffee cups, plates (flat, side & pasta), bowls, cutlery, pots & pans, roasting dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and serving dishes. Kitchen basics like oil, salt, pepper and a starter pack of tea, coffee and sugar will be supplied.

Newly installed

A high-quality kitchen has recently been installed. It features an induction hob, steam oven, dishwasher, extractor fan, microwave, full sized fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee maker.

Washing machine and dryer

We also leave laundry detergent and fabric conditioner, a clothes horse and pegs so you can clean and dry those muddy or damp clothes! There is also a laundrette in Dunoon if you want a chore-free holiday.

Easy check-in

Turning up late at night or journey delayed? No problem! We have a key safe by the front door so you can arrive at a time that suits you and enjoy a relaxed journey.

Guides, maps and local history

We have OS maps, booklets about local attractions and day trips, history books and tourist guides so you can make the most of your stay. And of course, as we're locals, we are also on hand to offer advice and the latest top tips.

Where wildlife is all around

Red squirrels are a common sight around the lodge, especially if you leave out some nuts. Guests also spot deer grazing in front of the lodge, lots of birds and even pine martin (if you are very lucky!).

Fun whatever the weather

As well as a Roku streaming device to stream TV, we have a quality film collection and good selection of board games to keep everyone entertained. There are also lots of local activities that can be enjoyed throughout the year - there is a cinema in Dunoon, lots of shows, exhibitions and events, and sheltered walks if you want to stretch your legs.

On hand when you need us

We live just five minutes drive away so although we don't meet guests during check-in, if you need us for any reason, we can pop by and say hello!

Find out about the area
Just returned from Ruskin Lodge yesterday and was really impressed with it. Right next to Puck's Glen and situated in lovely surroundings. Loads of walks nearby and dog friendly too, really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful, quiet location for a clean and tidy lodge, with red squirrels visiting every morning. All of the facilities were as described and Abigail was lovely to deal with.
