We're family and dog friendly, and include lots of 'extras' to make your stay easy and relaxing.
We are proud to be an ethical self-catering business. The lodges were purpose-built as holiday homes and were only granted planning permission on the grounds that they couldn't be used to live in year-round. This means we're not taking a home away from the local long-term rental or housing market - a big issue for communities in Argyll.
Great for families
Families can make use of a travel cot, high chair, potty set (step, trainer seat and potty), changing mat (and dedicated nappy changing area), baby bath, blackout curtains, socket covers, and children's cups, plates, bowls and utensils.
Dog friendly
We are dog owners ourselves so know all the best walking routes and dog-friendly places to go for a meal or a drink. Many walks - like Puck's Glen - start directly from the lodge, with no need to get in a car or even cross a road. Dog bowls, a spare lead and spare poo bags are included.
Well-equipped kitchens
The kitchen features an electric hob, oven, dishwasher, extractor fan, microwave, full-sized fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. We include plenty of mugs (big ones too!), coffee cups, plates (flat, side & pasta), bowls, cutlery, pots & pans, roasting dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and serving dishes.
Easy check-in
Turning up late at night or journey delayed? No problem! We have a key safe by the front door so you can arrive at a time that suits you and enjoy a relaxed journey with no time pressure.
Entertainment
42” TV / Blu-ray player (HDMI cable supplied), streaming device for watching live, on-demand and catch-up TV (and you can log in to your Netflix, Amazon Prime video, NowTV and Sky accounts), books, quality film collection & board games.
Superfast fibre broadband
c.200 Mbps Superfast fibre has been installed to the lodges providing high and reliable speeds, and allowing many devices to connect at the same time.
Enhanced cleaning
Two hand washing and hand sanitising stations have been installed in the kitchen and bathroom. They contain products that are EN14476 tested proving they kill 99.99% germs and are effective against coronavirus within five minutes. There are also lots of cleaning products for you to use during your stay.
Quality towels and linen
We are supplied by Mitre Linen, founded in 1946 in London, and granted HM The Queen’s Royal Warrant in 1955. Towels are large, thick and fluffy and linen is white, crisp and with a high thread count. All beds have an electric blanket and mattress topper and duvets and pillows have protectors.
On hand when you need us
We live just a five minute drive away from the lodges meaning we know the area like the back of our hands! We can offer lots of tips and advice ahead of your stay and are on hand if you'd like us to pop by and answer any questions.
